Connecticut Cannabis and Hemp Convention set for Hartford’s XL Center May 20 and 21

More than 150 cannabis industry exhibitors are expected in the capital city May 20 and 21 as the XL Center hosts the Connecticut Cannabis and Hemp Convention.

NECANN, which has been developing cannabis industry conventions since 2014, announced Wednesday its inaugural Connecticut convention for the weekend of May 20 at the XL Center. 

The organization said in a news release the XL Center convention will be “the largest B2B cannabis industry event ever in Connecticut” with more than 40 educational sessions on the industry and over 150 cannabis industry exhibitors. 

“We’re excited to be finally be coming to Connecticut as they join the other states in the northeast in legalizing and normalizing cannabis use,” Marc Shepard, co-founder and president of NECANN, said in the release. “Our goal is to educate, inspire, and connect the local cannabis and hemp industry and communities, and give them the networking, knowledge, and skills to make cannabis and hemp a successful new industry for them.”

The convention will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 20 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 21. Attendees must be over the age of 18. (Full Story)
