Snoop Dogg’s ‘Giving Up Smoke’ Stunt Promotes Smokefree Firepit

November 21, 2023 · CelebStoner

Snoop Dogg’s “giving up smoke” post on November 16 was just a ruse to promote the smokeless firepit, Solo Stove.

In another social media post this morning, the rapper explained:

“I have an announcement: I’m giving up smoke. I know what you’re thinking: ‘Snoop, smoke is kind of your whole thing.’ But I’m done with it. Done with the carpet and the clothes smellin’ all sticky icky. I’m going smokeless. Solo Smoke fix fire. They take out the smoke.”

He added in a press release:

“I love a good fire outside but the smoke was too much. Solo Stove fixed fire and took out the smoke. They changed the game and now I’m excited to spread the love and stay warm with my friends and family.”

Thus ends this chapter of wondering if Snoop was giving up smoking weed; clearly not.

Egg on the face goes to those who eulogized the end of Snoop’s prodigious pot-smoking career, estimated at as many as 80 joints or blunts a day.

• Willie Nelson & Family: “We support our brother Snoop in any decision he makes for his own body as your body-your choice.”

• Meek Mill: “Ima go to Dubai and completely stop smoking… Ima follow Snoop… This new weed got too many chemicals and too risky to play with my mental!”

• Rohan Marley: “A Dogg’s gotta do what a Dogg’s gotta do… We appreciate everything you’ve done for the plant, and you’ll always be welcome in the cannabis community whether you’re blazing or not.”

Snoop Dogg’s relentless business projects led him to this questionable stunt. How to distinguish between so many products? Create hype on a level that Snoop’s post would go global and prompt countless articles and consumer comments wondering about the meaning of it all. Solo Stove got what it wanted with this shameless promotional campaign, yet it could backfire. Certainly, the next time Snoop hints he’s stopping smoking weed no one will believe him. Attracting stoners to a product that has nothing to do with cannabis is crass and commercial and takes Snoop down a notch in the world of CelebStoners.  (Full Story)
